October at the Grange!

The 2nd Saturday Community Dance at the Port Townsend Quimper Grange will be held on October 13. Wild Phil and the Buffalo Gals are playing the tunes with calls by out of town guest caller Sherry Nevins.The dance begins at 7:30 and ends about 10:30. $6.00 fee, $3.00 for those 3 to 18 years, free for under 3. The Quimper Grange is located at 1219 Corona St., in Port Townsend.

The 3rd Saturday Quimper Grange Square Dance features local caller Rita Mandoli with local band Skookum Boys playing the tunes. Rita Mandoli has been part of the Pacific Northwest old time music and dance scene for decades.  Expect the calling to be lively and the tunes just as hot as they come! Skookum Boys includes Jack Finnigan on fiddle, with Charles Espey on banjo.  The date is October 20, dancing starts at 7:30.  If you can walk, you can dance! Come prepared to dance with exuberance!  All ages and experience levels are welcome.  Partners not necessary.  All dances are taught.
